Who We Are

I’m Sally, a documentary filmmaker and journalist. Over the years I’ve told stories across the UK, US, Europe and Asia – but the films closest to my heart are the ones I made with my own grandparents.

I recorded interviews with two of my grandmothers and one of my grandfathers, capturing their memories and voices on film. Those recordings are now a precious gift to my family. I only wish I’d had the chance to do the same with my paternal grandfather, who died when I was little.

That’s what inspired me to create Living on Film. Not everyone has a filmmaker in the family, but everyone deserves the chance to keep hold of the stories, laughter, and wisdom of the people they love.

I work with a small team to put together high-quality, beautiful films for you to keep and enjoy. Their creative insight and technical expertise help bring each film to life.
